Hard to navigate

Seems like a sweet little game, but its difficult to move the character around. Even when I drag him over to a square it seems like theres a lag. Ill have to drag twice. It feels unintuitive. If you care about scoring well in the game, your steps are counted and this lag can be very frustrating.
